Nothing in these Legal Terms affects any statutory rights that you have as a consumer.

The Services enable users to publish and interact with user-generated content. Users are responsible for the content they publish. We may remove, restrict or otherwise moderate content in accordance with these Legal Terms, our Community Guidelines and applicable law, including applicable online safety, intellectual property and defamation law.
Online Safety
As a user-to-user platform, we take reasonable steps to comply with our applicable obligations under the Online Safety Act 2023, including in relation to illegal content, reporting and complaints.
2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
Our intellectual property
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our Services, including all source code, databases, functionality, software, website designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics in the Services (collectively, the 'Content'), as well as the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein (the 'Marks').
Our Content and Marks are protected by copyright and trademark laws in the United Kingdom and internationally. In the United Kingdom, copyright is governed by the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
The Content and Marks are provided in or through the Services 'AS IS' for your personal, non-commercial use only.
Your use of our Services
Subject to your compliance with these Legal Terms, including the 'PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES' section below, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the Services and to download or print a copy of any portion of the Content to which you have properly gained access, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
Except as set out in this section or elsewhere in our Legal Terms, no part of the Services and no Content or Marks may be copied, reproduced, aggregated, republished, uploaded, posted, publicly displayed, encoded, translated, transmitted, distributed, sold, licensed, or otherwise exploited for any commercial purpose without our express prior written permission.
If you wish to make any use of the Services, Content or Marks other than as set out in these Legal Terms, please contact us at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you in and to the Services, Content and Marks.
Your submissions and contributions
Please review this section and the PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES section carefully to understand the rights you give us and the obligations you have when you send or publish content through the Services.
Submissions
If you send us feedback, suggestions, ideas or other comments about the Services ('Submissions'), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt and otherwise use those Submissions for the purpose of developing, improving, operating or promoting the Services. You are not entitled to compensation for our use of a Submission unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Contributions
The Services may allow you to create, submit, post, display, transmit, publish or otherwise make available text, writings, photographs, graphics, comments, profile information and other material ('Contributions'). Contributions may be viewable by other users and, where publicly available, may also be accessible outside the Services.
Licence to use your Contributions
You retain ownership of and, where applicable, copyright in your Contributions. By publishing a Contribution through the Services, you grant The Morality Waiting Room Ltd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format and make that Contribution available as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the Services.
You also grant us permission to reproduce or excerpt publicly available Contributions for the purpose of promoting The Morality Waiting Room, including through our website, newsletters and associated social media accounts. Where reasonably practicable, we will attribute such use in the same way that the Contribution is attributed on the platform.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your Contribution to us. The licence continues for as long as the Contribution remains available through the Services and, where these Legal Terms provide that content may remain following account deletion, to the extent reasonably necessary to keep that content available in accordance with those provisions.
You may not publish material unless you own it or otherwise have the rights, permissions or lawful basis necessary to publish it and to grant us the licence described above.
Responsibility for what you publish
You are responsible for your Contributions and for ensuring that they comply with these Legal Terms, our Community Guidelines and applicable law. We may moderate, restrict or remove Contributions in accordance with these Legal Terms, our Community Guidelines and applicable law.
Copyright infringement
If you believe that material available through the Services infringes copyright that you own or are authorised to enforce, please refer to the 'COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS' section below.
3. USER REPRESENTATIONS
By using the Services, you represent and warrant that: (1) any registration information you provide is true, accurate, current and complete; (2) you will keep that information reasonably up to date; (3) you have the legal capacity to agree to these Legal Terms; (4) you are at least 16 years old; (5) if you are aged 16–17, you will use only those features expressly made available to users of your age; (6) you will not access the Services through unauthorised automated or non-human means; (7) you will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorised purpose; and (8) your use of the Services will comply with applicable law and these Legal Terms.
We may suspend or terminate an account where information supplied to us is materially false or misleading, or where we otherwise have reasonable grounds to do so under these Legal Terms.
We may also take action in relation to conduct outside the Services where that conduct has a direct and material effect on the safety of our users or the integrity of the platform and we reasonably consider action necessary and proportionate.
4. USER REGISTRATION
To create an account, you may be required to provide your name, email address, date of birth, and a password. If you create or access your account using a supported third-party login provider, such as Google or Facebook, you may not be required to create a separate password with us.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date. Where you use a password to access your account, you must keep it confidential and are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Our collection and use of personal data, including information received through third-party login providers, is explained in our Privacy Policy.

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Available payment methods may change from time to time.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for purchases made through the Services and to keep relevant payment and account information up to date.

You authorise us and our payment service providers to charge the payment method selected by you for purchases and subscriptions you authorise.
We may correct genuine pricing or billing errors. If an error affects a purchase you have already made, we will notify you and, where appropriate, give you the option to confirm the purchase at the correct price or receive a refund.

Statutory Cancellation Rights
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel a subscription purchased online within 14 days without giving a reason. The applicable cancellation period and the consequences of cancellation depend on the nature of the Services supplied and applicable consumer law.
Where you expressly request that a service begins during a statutory cancellation period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before you cancel. Where a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following the express request and acknowledgement required by law, your statutory right to cancel may end. Different rules may apply to digital content supplied other than on a tangible medium.
Where express consent, a request to begin performance or an acknowledgement of the loss of cancellation rights is required by law, we will obtain it separately where required. Nothing in these Legal Terms removes any statutory cancellation right that you have.
Account Deletion
Account deletion is subject to a 30-day recovery period. When you request deletion of your account, a recovery link may be sent to your registered email address. During the recovery period, you may cancel the deletion request by following the instructions provided to you.
After the recovery period, your account will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Unless removal is required by applicable law or otherwise stated in our Privacy Policy, essays, comments and other Contributions that formed part of public discussions may remain available and will be attributed to "Deleted Account".
Fee Changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Any price change will not affect a billing period you have already paid for. Where a change affects the price of a renewing subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice and any rights required by applicable law.
Promotional Offers and Discount Codes
Promotional codes and founding member offers are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be combined with other offers unless expressly stated. We may withdraw or modify a promotional offer before it has been accepted, or where the terms of the particular promotion expressly permit us to do so. Once a promotion has been validly applied to a subscription, we will honour it in accordance with the terms stated when the offer was made, subject to applicable law. Discount codes must be redeemed by any date specified at the time of issue.
7. REFUNDS
Refunds will be provided where required by applicable law or where otherwise expressly stated by us. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights, including any rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
If you believe you are entitled to a refund or have a concern about a payment or subscription, please contact us at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com.

11. THIRD-PARTY LOGIN SERVICES
You may be able to create or access your account using a supported third-party login provider, such as Google or Facebook (a 'Third-Party Login Provider').

We operate the Services from the United Kingdom and do not represent that every feature, type of content, subscription or other aspect of the Services is lawful or available in every jurisdiction. We may restrict or modify availability in particular countries or territories where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law.
If you access or use the Services from outside the United Kingdom, you are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you in your location. Nothing in these Legal Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded under the law applicable to you.
The governing law and jurisdiction provisions in Section 19 apply subject to any mandatory consumer rights or jurisdictional protections that apply to you under applicable law.

Our moderation of user-generated content is further described in our Community Guidelines. Where practicable and appropriate, we will provide affected users with information about moderation action and any applicable right of appeal. We may take immediate action without prior notice where reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve the security or integrity of the Services, prevent unlawful activity, or comply with a legal obligation.
15. PRIVACY POLICY
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal data we collect, how and why we use it, the legal bases on which we rely, how long we retain it, when it may be shared, and the rights available to individuals under applicable data protection law.
Where applicable, we process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Please read our Privacy Policy before using the Services.
16. COPYRIGHT COMPLAINTS
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content available through the Services infringes copyright that you own or are authorised to enforce, please contact us at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com.
Your notice should include, where reasonably possible:
1. your name and contact details;
2. identification of the copyrighted work concerned;
3. identification and location of the content you believe infringes that work, including a link or URL where possible;
4. an explanation of why you believe the use is not authorised by the copyright owner or otherwise permitted by law; and
5. confirmation that the information you have provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
We may remove or restrict access to material while we investigate a copyright complaint where we reasonably consider this appropriate. We may contact the user who published the material and may provide them with sufficient information about the complaint to allow them to respond, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
If content you published is removed or restricted following a copyright complaint and you believe that decision was mistaken, you may contact us at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com and explain why you believe you are entitled to use the material.
We may restore, continue to restrict or permanently remove content after considering the information available to us and our obligations under applicable law.
17. TERM AND TERMINATION
These Legal Terms remain in effect while you use the Services.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to the Services where we have reasonable grounds to do so, including serious or repeated violations of these Legal Terms or our Community Guidelines, unlawful conduct, threats to users or platform security, fraud, or misuse of the Services.
Where appropriate, we will act proportionately having regard to the nature and seriousness of the conduct. Where reasonably practicable, we will tell you why action has been taken and provide information about any applicable appeal process. We may take immediate action where reasonably necessary to protect users, preserve platform security, prevent unlawful activity or comply with legal obligations.
If your account has been permanently banned, you must not attempt to evade that ban by creating or using another account.
We reserve all rights and remedies available to us under applicable law.
18. MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS
The Services are currently in early access. We make no guarantee of uninterrupted availability and reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any feature during this period. We will endeavour to communicate significant changes to registered users in advance.
We reserve the right to change, modify, or remove the contents of the Services at any time and for any reason at our sole discretion. We will endeavour to provide you with reasonable notice of any material changes to the Services or pricing, in accordance with our obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
We cannot guarantee the Services will be available at all times. We may experience hardware, software, or other problems, or need to perform maintenance related to the Services, resulting in interruptions, delays, or errors. We will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption and to notify users in advance of any planned maintenance where possible.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by your inability to access or use the Services during any period of downtime, interruption, or discontinuance, except where such loss results from our negligence or breach of statutory duty. Nothing in these Legal Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
19. GOVERNING LAW
These Legal Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under the law of the country in which you are habitually resident.
Nothing in these Legal Terms limits any right you may have under applicable law to bring proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction over your claim.
If you use the Services wholly or mainly for business purposes rather than as a consumer, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Legal Terms.
20. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Informal Resolution
If you have a complaint or dispute concerning the Services, we encourage you to contact us first at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com so that we can try to resolve the matter directly. We will endeavour to consider complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
Your Legal Rights
Nothing in this section requires a consumer to use arbitration or any particular alternative dispute resolution procedure, and nothing prevents you from exercising any right to bring proceedings before a court or tribunal that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Where an appropriate alternative dispute resolution service is available and both parties agree to use it, a dispute may be referred to that service.
21. CORRECTIONS
There may be information on the Services that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, including descriptions, pricing, availability, and various other information. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions and to change or update the information on the Services at any time, without prior notice.
22. DISCLAIMER
The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. While we take reasonable steps to maintain the Services, we do not guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free or continuously available.
User-generated Contributions represent the views of the users who publish them and not necessarily the views of The Morality Waiting Room Ltd. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of user-generated content or content available through third-party websites.
Nothing in these Legal Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
23. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Nothing in these Legal Terms excludes or limits our liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Legal Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.
We are not responsible for business losses suffered by a consumer, including loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, where the Services are used for personal rather than business purposes.
24. RESPONSIBILITY FOR BREACHES
You are responsible for your use of the Services and for the Contributions you publish.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may be responsible for losses reasonably and directly incurred by us as a result of your deliberate or negligent breach of these Legal Terms, infringement of another person's legal rights, or unlawful use of the Services.
Nothing in this section makes you responsible for loss caused by our own breach, negligence or unlawful conduct, or for loss that could not reasonably have been expected to result from your conduct.
25. USER DATA
We take reasonable measures to protect data associated with the Services. However, you are responsible for retaining copies of Contributions or other material that you wish to preserve independently of the platform.
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Nothing in these Legal Terms excludes or limits our obligations under applicable data protection law.
26. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, TRANSACTIONS, AND SIGNATURES
When you use the Services, create an account, make a purchase, complete an online form or communicate with us electronically, communications and records may be provided electronically where permitted by law.
You agree that we may provide contractual notices and other communications electronically, including through the Services or by email, except where applicable law requires another method.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory requirement relating to the form or delivery of a particular notice or communication.
27. UK USERS AND RESIDENTS
If you have a complaint about the Services, please contact us at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com so that we have an opportunity to resolve it.
For concerns about the way personal data has been handled, you may have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
You may also be entitled to obtain advice about consumer rights from Citizens Advice or another relevant consumer protection body.
Nothing in this section limits your right to pursue any remedy available to you under applicable law.
28. MISCELLANEOUS
These Legal Terms and any policies or operating rules posted by us on the Services or in respect to the Services constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and us. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Legal Terms shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. These Legal Terms operate to the fullest extent permissible by applicable law.
We may assign any or all of our rights and obligations to others at any time. We will provide you with reasonable notice of any such assignment where it materially affects your rights under these Legal Terms.
We shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, delay, or failure to act caused by any cause beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters or extreme weather events, strikes, lockouts, shortages of labour or materials, war, terrorism, riots, or civil unrest.
If any provision or part of a provision of these Legal Terms is determined to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision or part of the provision is deemed severable from these Legal Terms and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
There is no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship created between you and us as a result of these Legal Terms or your use of the Services.
Where any ambiguity arises in the interpretation of these Legal Terms, such ambiguity shall be resolved in a manner that is fair and reasonable to both parties, having regard to the purpose and context of the relevant provision.
Electronic acceptance of these Legal Terms — by clicking to agree, completing registration, or otherwise using the Services — shall constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Morality Waiting Room Ltd, equivalent to a signed written agreement, in accordance with the Electronic Communications Act 2000.
Nothing in these Legal Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the laws of England and Wales, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
29. USER CONTENT AND PLATFORM RIGHTS
Users retain ownership of and, where applicable, copyright in essays, comments and other original content they publish through the Services. By publishing content, users grant The Morality Waiting Room Ltd the licence described in Section 2 of these Legal Terms.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their Contributions comply with applicable law and do not infringe the rights of others, including intellectual property, privacy and data protection rights.
We may moderate, restrict or remove content and may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts in accordance with these Legal Terms, our Community Guidelines and applicable law.
Pseudonymous users are subject to the same Legal Terms and Community Guidelines as users who publish under their real names.
30. COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
These guidelines exist not to sanitise argument, but to protect the conditions that make real argument possible.
1. Who Can Participate
The Morality Waiting Room welcomes users aged 16 and over. Members aged 16–17 may read content and vote in debates. Publishing essays, posting comments, and purchasing a membership are available only to members aged 18 and over. Pseudonymous participation is supported. You may participate under your real name or a pseudonym where the relevant feature allows this. These guidelines apply equally regardless of how you choose to appear on the platform.
2. What Is Permitted
If it advances genuine moral debate in good faith, it is almost certainly welcome here. This includes strong, forceful, and passionate argument; profanity where it is part of your voice rather than a weapon; unpopular, minority, or unfashionable moral positions; satire where the intent is to advance debate rather than demean; quoting slurs or harmful language for context, provided it is never used to belittle or degrade others; and pseudonymous publishing.
3. What Is Not Permitted
The following rules exist to ensure that open debate is possible. Off-topic content — essays or comments with no genuine connection to the debate or moral question they appear under — is not permitted. Spam and self-promotion, meaning content that exists primarily to promote an external product, service, or platform, is not permitted. Deliberate misinformation — moral arguments built on empirical claims you know to be false, presented as established fact — is not permitted. Mass-reporting a writer whose views you disagree with is not permitted. Plagiarism is not permitted; do not copy other people's work — always write your own content or give clear credit to the original author. Personal abuse or harassment directed at any individual, whether a member of this platform or a person discussed in an essay, is not permitted. Threatening behaviour of any kind is not permitted. Attempts to identify pseudonymous users are not permitted. Posting illegal content and engaging in illegal transactions is not permitted. Predatory behaviour involving minors is not permitted. Racial, ethnic, national, religious, gender, sexuality, disability-based, or other identity-based slurs must not be used to attack, demean, intimidate, or harass another person or group. This does not prevent genuine quotation, discussion, or analysis of such language where it is relevant to the debate and not being used as abuse. Impersonation — creating an account or publishing under a name intended to deceive others into believing you are a specific real person — is not permitted. Vote manipulation, meaning any attempt to artificially influence debate voting, is not permitted. Interfering with the platform's services — for example, misusi ng platform features, bypassing security, or accessing data from The Morality Waiting Room and its users without permission — is not permitted.
4. Essay Standards
Essays must engage genuinely with the assigned debate question or moral topic. One essay per member per debate is enforced automatically. Essays must be a minimum of 300 words — essays shorter than this will not be published. You retain copyright in your original work, subject to the licence you grant to The Morality Waiting Room under these Terms. You may edit your essay after publishing. Plagiarism is a violation — all published work must be your own. You must respect third-party copyright in any material you reference or quote.
5. Comment Standards
Comments must engage with the argument, not the person making it. Replies should stay genuinely connected to the thread. Coordinated harassment or pile-ons targeting a specific writer are a serious violation. Comments are available to members aged 18 and over.
6. Voting
Members may cast a vote in debates where voting is available, and may change their vote at any time before the debate ends. Votes are anonymous — no other member can see how you voted. Vote manipulation of any kind is a serious violation.
7. Reporting
Every essay, comment, and profile has a report button. We aim to review low-severity reports within 5 working days; content will remain visible pending review and will be removed upon confirmation of a violation. We aim to review medium-severity reports within 48–72 hours; confirmed violations may result in a warning, content removal and, where applicable, a temporary suspension. We aim to review high-severity reports within 72 hours; content may be removed immediately pending review and confirmed violations may result in an account ban. Reports are treated confidentially, and we will not ordinarily identify the person who made a report to the person reported. Information may be disclosed where required by law or where otherwise necessary and lawful. Misuse of the reporting system — for example, mass-reporting a writer whose views you disagree with — is itself a violation of these guidelines.
8. Consequences
We apply consequences proportionately and consistently. Our aim is not to punish — it is to preserve the conditions for honest debate. The consequences below describe our usual approach. We may apply a different outcome where reasonably necessary and proportionate, taking into account the seriousness, context, frequency and impact of the conduct, and any relevant safety or legal considerations. Low violations: off-topic content, spam, and mild misinformation will result in content remaining visible pending review, removed upon confirmation, with the user notified of the outcome within 5 working days. Medium violations: repeated low-level violations (3 or more within 30 days) will result in a warning, content removal, and a temporary account suspension of 3–7 days, with the user notified of the outcome within 48–72 hours. Plagiarism will result in a warning, content removal, and a temporary account suspension of 7–14 days for a first offence, and a permanent ban for a second offence, with the user notified of the outcome within 48–72 hours. Mass-reporting a writer whose views you disagree with will result in a warning, a temporary suspension of 3–7 days, and reports dismissed, with the user notified of the outcome within 48–72 hours. Personal abuse and harassment in all forms, and bullying, will result in content removal and a temporary account suspension — 7–14 days for a first offence and 14–30 days for a second offence — with the user notified of the outcome within 48–72 hours. Threatening behaviour will result in immediate content removal and account suspension pending review — 30 days for a first offence and a permanent ban for a second offence — with the user notified of the outcome within 72 hours. Medium to High violations: impersonation will result in content being hidden immediately pending review, with content removed and a 14–30 day suspension for a first offence; a second offence will result in a permanent account ban, with the user notified of the outcome within 72 hours. High violations: repeated medium-level violations will result in a final warning, content removal, and an extended suspension of 30 days, with any further violation resulting in a permanent ban, and the user notified of the outcome within 72 hours. Vote manipulation will result in content removal and a 14–30 day suspension for a first offence, and a permanent ban for a second offence, with the user notified of the outcome within 72 hours. Posting illegal content or engaging in illegal transactions, predatory behaviour involving minors, hate speech, slurs or incitement to violence, and interfering with the platform's services will each result in immediate content removal and a permanent account ban, with the user notified of the outcome within 72 hours. Predatory behaviour involving minors may also be reported to relevant authorities where appropriate or required by law. Illegal content may be referred to relevant law enforcement authorities where appropriate or required by law. While we do our best to moderate content and uphold our community standards, The Morality Waiting Room is an open discussion space. You may occasionally encounter content that you find challenging, uncomfortable, or offensive. We take reports seriously and act on them promptly, but we cannot monitor every post in real time.
9. Moderation & Appeals
Content moderation decisions are made by The Morality Waiting Room team in accordance with these Community Guidelines. You may appeal eligible moderation decisions, including content removal, warnings, suspensions, or account bans, by contacting us at contact@themoralitywaitingroom.com within 14 days of the decision. We aim to review appeals within 5 working days. Following an appeal, we may uphold, vary, or reverse the original decision. Our decision following an appeal is final within our internal appeals process. Nothing in this process affects any legal rights you may have.
10. Pseudonymity
You may publish under a pseudonym rather than your real name. We support this fully. Your non-public account information, including your email address and identity information held by us, is not ordinarily shared with other users. We may disclose information where required or permitted by law, including in response to a valid legal requirement. Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, we may notify you of such disclosure. Publishing under a pseudonym does not reduce your obligations under these guidelines. Pseudonymous content is subject to exactly the same rules as content published under a real name.
11. Intellectual Property
You retain copyright in your original work, subject to the licence you grant to The Morality Waiting Room under these Terms. The licence you grant to The Morality Waiting Room Ltd in relation to your Contributions is set out in Section 2 of these Terms. Do not reproduce substantial portions of others' work without attribution and any permission required by law. Plagiarism is a violation and may result in account action in accordance with these Guidelines.
12. The Spirit of These Guidelines
Our values — Intellectual Integrity, Empathetic Inquiry, Constructive Dissent, Respectful Discourse, and Reflective Engagement — guide everything here. These guidelines exist to protect debate, not suppress it. We trust our community to participate in good faith. The one principle that covers everything: challenge ideas as hard as you like. Never target the person holding them.
